Trustees of the Haldane Central School District held their breath last Tuesday night, November 18, 2008 as they waited outside Room 105 where, one by one, voters were saying either "yes' or "no" to a $2.28 million dollar bond referendum to fund capital repairs to the elementary and middle schools. The Cold Spring Board of Trustees approved a new or rather updated zoning map at their regular monthly Village Hall meeting on November 18, 2008. Donald MacDonald, a local architect and Village Zoning Board veteran, first presented the map to the Trustees several weeks ago. So it's only logical that snow removal and winter parking restrictions are on the minds of Trustees for the Village of Nelsonville.
