North Highlands Engine Company Celebrates at Their Holiday Party Alves, Lyons, Merritt, Spinelli, Lisikatos, Scherer honored with awards; Noschese receives Firefighter of the Year

| On Saturday December 15, 2007 the North Highlands Engine Company celebrated their annual Christmas party at Inncredible Caterers on Route 9D. The event was attended by department members, ladies auxillary, mutual aide chiefs and captains, State Senator Vincent Leibell, Assemblywoman Sandra Galef, Town Supervisor William Mazzuca, Town Board Members, County Coordinator Ralph Falloon, and members of the Putnam County Sheriffs Department. Awards were given out by Chief Charles Nolen for outstanding achievement as follows: Karolina Alves, Michael Lyons, Lauren Merritt & Robbyn Spinelli for completing their probationary year requirements. Probie of the Year, Lauren Merritt. Pete Lyntt Memorial Award, George Lisikatos. Al Conklin True Spirit Memorial Award, Patrick Scherer. The Thomas Langone Memorial Award for Fire Fighter of the Year, John Noschese. A good time was had by all. Providing local news, information and opinions from
