Children's Theatre Company of Peekskill Presents a Dr. Seuss Performance
The Children's Theatre Company of Peekskill presents theatre by kids for kids and grownups. Their program of Yertle the Turtle, The Butter Battle Book, and Stone Soup will be performed on Saturdays, Jan 12 and 19 and Sundays, Jan13 and 20, at 3pm, at the Ford Theatre, Peekskill Administrative Center, 1031 Elm Street. All tickets are $10, available for sale at the theatre
Branching from the established Children's Theatre Company of NYC, the non-profit CTC Peekskill is the culmination of a real grass-roots effort of parents, teachers, volunteers, seasoned theatre professionals, and children of all ages from the local community.
Performing its second season, CTC Peekskill is an important new asset to the community, as it offers a creative outlet to children, and also delivers positive social, moral, and political messages through original adaptations of classic tales such as Dr. Seuss. Last year CTC Peekskill participated in a performance at the UN during a conference to address the plight of girls in third-world nations.
CTC Peekskill is sponsored by the Peekskill/Cortlandt Baha'i community in association with the Children's Theatre Company, NYC. They are also deeply grateful to Peekskill Parks and Recreation for the generous space grant for rehearsals and performances.
