Finding and Identifying Fossils Program at Hudson Highlands Nature Museum
On Saturday, January 19, the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum presents Impressive Fossils! Come to the Museum's Outdoor Discovery Center, 20 Kenridge Farm Drive, Route 9W, Cornwall, to learn about finding and identifying fossils. Participants will explore ancient history through viewing fossil specimens. Derek Yoost, an amateur geologist and paleontologist from the Orange County Mineral Society, will be joining the program to offer his knowledge. He will be showing collections of New York State fossils, minerals and more. Everyone attending will create his or her own plaster cast fossil to take home.
