Winter Walks and Talks at Stony Kill Farm

Life is all around us in the Winter. Can you find signs of animals activity? Come over to Stony Kill Farm Environmental Education Center where we'll explore the winter fields and forests. Call us at (845) 831- 8780 for more information. No need to pre-register and all programs are free.

Skills for Winter Survival, Saturday, January 12 at 2pm Discover some of the traditional and modern skills humans use to survive tough outdoor conditions, and gain greater appreciation for the resourcefulness of those who brave the elements.

Trail Cleanup Day at Stony Kill - Saturday, January 19 at 2pm. Honor the community spirit embodied by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and help your local environmental education center at the same time. We'll work together to prune back shrubs, pull invasives, and pick up litter - bring a pair of work gloves, hiking boots, warm clothing, and your own hand pruners or loppers, if you have them. Adults and older children.

Winter Birdwalk - Saturday, January 26 at 2pm. Winter birding is invigorating, and a good way to get to know birds, starting with the relatively few species that stay with us through the winter. Bring your own binoculars, if you have them, and dress warmly.
