A Moment of Grace
To the Editor:
On the morning of December 31 I was lying in bed, looking out the window. A shaft of light broke through the clouds illuminating two Oak trees; snow on the branches, sparkling drops of water falling to earth. The clouds closed over the sunlight, revealing the mist flowing across the Schofield Ridge, Lake Valhalla beneath it!
This simple moment of beauty, brought tears of gratitude from my eyes, and a whispered thank you. A moment of grace. Those of us, who live in every part of Philipstown, have opportunities like this every day; we are surrounded by beauty!
As with everything, if we pay attention to what is around us, letting it in, we will take care of what we love. Happy New Year.
