Stop the Destruction of Ancient Stone Chambers
To the Editor:

Due to our ever increasing destruction of ancient stone chambers when located near roads or rapidly increasing developments, I am making another attempt to publicize this destruction by the bland and the blind before it is entirely too late.

Most chambers either face the winter solstice or the spring equinox, extremely important to the ancients to mark the death and rebirth of the year while the others faced the revival of vegetation. Scholars have noted that the date of the birth of Jesus is not known, therefore the winter solstice was chosen as

Christmas' to 'steal' the pagan thunder' (the old Julian calendar had the solstice on Dec. 25), at least now leaving us free to celebrate both.

Ancient spiritual leaders probably had profound spiritual experiences in stone caves but due to their rarity decided to build their own stone enclosures, especially if the stone contained quartz as ours do, now known to conduct energy.

To test this I remained in one the eve of the winter solstice and at dawn I had to most profound experience of spiritual oneness, leading me to believe that what we call energy is not materialistic but spiritual, accounting for its ability to compose atoms and ever increasing complexity, otherwise unexplainable, with scientists avoiding this conclusion to avoid entanglements with religious authorities originally but now becoming dogmatic about this... but as a cure for narrowing of horizons I would suggest silent meditation- and/ or remaining alone in a stone chamber at solstice quietly sitting, thus coming to the most profound conclusion of their lives.

Primarily for this reason I am making another plea to stop this ignorant destruction of these chambers to help cure our spiritual ignorance.
