Pete Salmanson to Discuss Local Birds at Butterfield Library

The Julia L. Butterfield Library is excited to offer For the Birds, an educational craft workshop, on Saturday, January 26 at 11:30am.

Children in grades K & up are invited to hear Pete Salmanson of Constitution Marsh Audubon Society speak about some of the birds that live in the Hudson Valley. In this lively presentation, Salmanson will discuss the species of birds that can be found locally, what they like to eat and where and how they build their nests.

A craft workshop will follow the discussion. Children will be able to make one of several types of bird-feeders to help our feathered friends get enough to eat during the cold winter months.

Registration is required for this program. Please call the Library at 265-3040 or email Programming and Outreach Coordinator at mcgrathm@bestweb.net. The Library is located at 10 Morris Avenue in Cold Spring near the intersection of 9D and Rt. 301.
