Putnam Valley Man Arrested as Fugitive From Justice
Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith has reported the arrest of 21-year-old Vincent J. Pasciucco of Putnam Valley, as a fugitive from justice, wanted for a crime committed in the State of Connecticut.
The Sheriff reports that on January 16, 2008, detectives from the City of Danbury Connecticut Police Department contacted the Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Investigation and informed investigators that Mr. Pasciucco was wanted in the State of Connecticut for the felony crime of Assault in the Second Degree. They requested assistance in locating Mr. Pasciucco and taking him into custody with the intent of returning him to their jurisdiction. The case was assigned to Investigators Stephen Tricinelli and Robert Ferris.
Armed with an extraditable arrest warrant, sheriff's investigators conducted a surveillance of Mr. Pasciucco's home. At about 10:20pm, a white sedan pulled into the residential driveway and immediately backed out and drove away on Floradan Road. The vehicle was stopped by police and Mr. Pasciucco was found to be a passenger in the car.
Mr. Pasciucco was arrested as a fugitive from justice and returned to the sheriff's office in Carmel. He appeared the next day before Putnam County Judge James Reitz for an arraignment. He was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility without bail pending a future extradition hearing.
