The Haldane School Foundation Celebrates Mardi Gras
Snow Ball 2008 promises to be filled with bon temps and intrigue when the Haldane School Foundation hosts Mardi Gras Le Bal Masqué on Saturday, March 8 at Dutchess Manor in Dutchess Junction, NY.
Once you purchase your ticket, you will receive a simple mask that you are invited to decorate. Use your creative talents to their limits- think feathers, sequins, glitter, and, of course, the traditional Mardi Gras shades of green, gold, and purple. Wear your mask to the Ball- the most dramatic mask will receive a prize. More conservative attendees, need not fear- the masks are optional.
Robert Millis of Cold Spring Gardens in Nelsonville, NY will transform Dutchess Manor to the streets of the French Quarter with decorations, colorful beads, doubloons and floral arrangements. Indulge in Bananas Foster and other traditional drinks and goodies of New Orleans while you dance to the New York Players, a tenmember band from Albany.
Don't miss the Silent Auction with some of the most exciting items ever offered including a week's stay in Mexico, a day of racing in a Lotus, original artwork, and a historic map of Cold Spring.
Purchase your tickets early- the Snow Ball has been known to sell out. Tickets for Mardi Gras Le Bal Masqué are $150 each. To purchase, call Lynn Felter at 265-2976. For more information on the Snow Ball or The Haldane School Foundation, visit www.haldaneschoolfoundation.org.
