Talk of the Town

Signs of Spring are popping up in this week's edition. Betty Budney is around taking orders for the American Cancer Society's annual Daffodil sale. They are guaranteed to trigger spring fever! Another story this week is the coming of the Girl Scout Cookies. If you have a favorite girl scout, give her a call.

Next week is our Valentine's issue - yes already! Guys, take note. Speaking of Valentine's, welcome home to Sylvia Lyons who returned to Main Street on Tuesday.

If you want to extend the winter season, this Sunday the Taconic Outdoor Education Center will host their annual Winterfest celebration.

The Cold Spring Lions Club is having a Mardi Gras event on Saturday at the Silver Spoon in Cold Spring. All the benefits will go to local charities.

The Lions Club calendar tells us that John Kelley, Clara Carrera, Robert Lomino, Ginny Pidala, Christine Farwell, Aiden Cimino, Jack Cimino, Miranda Musso, Jaiden Patel, Robin Hill, David Bengel, Powlette Alam El Din, Joe Scherer, Zachary Markey, Judy Hurdley, Michael Junjulas, Sarah Mayo, Tom Robertson, Joe Marchese and Joe Russo will be having birthdays this week. If you see them, wish them all the best.
