Living a Wheat-Free Lifestyle Talk at Celiac Support Group
The monthly meeting of the Hudson Valley Celiac Support Group meets in Conference Room B at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY, on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8pm.
Meetings are informational for those who have Celiac Disease (gluten intolerance) or other wheat allergies, and include medical professionals as speakers, gluten free food samples, and sharing of tips and advice on eating gluten free. February's meeting will feature Becky Hopper, who is the Family Nurse Practitioner working with the VBMC Hospitalist group, She will speak on her experiences living a wheat-free lifestyle; great ideas that she has found for cooking, shopping, and eating out; educational resources and healthcare issues to consider, including OTC products and prescribed meds that are safe for Celiacs.
