Beacon Woman Arrested for Driving With Suspended License
Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a City of Beacon woman for driving with a suspended license while driving on Rt. 9D.
Deputy Sheriff Claire Pearson was on patrol on Route 9D in the Village of Cold Spring on January 13, 2008 at 5:50pm when she observed a speeding motorist. Upon effecting a traffic stop, the deputy determined that the driver, Alexis G. Barbour, 22, of Beacon had been driving with a suspended license. Ms. Barbour was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor, and released in her own recognizance pending a February 11, 2008 court appearance in Village of Cold Spring Justice Court.
If convicted of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
