Florence Ryan
Florence E. Ryan, age 88, of Cold Spring, died on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor.
She was born in New York, NY on May 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Agnes (Donoghue) Simmons. Mrs. Ryan was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Philipstown.
Her husband, the late Edward N. Ryan, predeceased her in 1990. Three daughters, Kathleen Lake of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, Elizabeth Casper of Walden, NY, and Mary Sclafani of Dalton, GA, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, three greatgreat grandchildren, and one nephew survive her. She was pre-deceased by one daughter, Margaret Masten.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church of Philipstown. A private cremation was held under the direction of Clinton Funeral Home, Cor. of Parrott and Pine Sts., Cold Spring. Interment in the Cold Spring Cemetery will follow at a later date.
