Half Moon Theatre Performs The Yellow Boat at Poughkeepsie Day School
Poughkeepsie Day School's professional theatre company in residence, Half Moon Theatre, presents the highly-acclaimed play, The Yellow Boat, by David Saar, in the school's James Earl Jones Theater, February 14-17 and February 21- 24.
A "theatrical work of stunning beauty, soaring spirit and imagination," the play has been honored by the American Alliance for Theatre and Education with its Distinguished Play Award, as a New Visions/New Voices Selection by the Kennedy Center and as recipient of the Outstanding Play Award from the Theatre for Young Audiences/USA. Based on a true story written by the father of an eight-year old boy who contracts HIV/AIDS, parent/ viewer discretion is advised.

Poughkeepsie Day School has been developing educated citizens with a passion for learning and living since 1934. The school opened with a record enrollment of 352 students this September.
