It's Not Too Late To Get Dept. of Health Flu Shot
The Putnam County Department of Health has received reports of laboratory confirmed cases of flu among Putnam County residents. Therefore it is very important for those persons who have not yet received a flu vaccine to get immunized as soon as possible.
The Putnam County Health Department will be holding free public flu clinics for anyone who lives or works in New York State ages 9 years and older at the following locations:
Saturday, February 23, 2008,Garrison Fire Department on Route 9, 9am-12noon
Saturday, February 16, 2008,Carmel Fire Department, Route 52 and Vink Drive, 9am-12:noon
There will be no cost for flu vaccine. No appointment necessary. No prescription necessary unless pregnant. For information or to schedule an appointment for children 6 months up to 9 years of age, please call the Immunization office at 845-278- 6086.
Additional flu clinics may be scheduled in the future. Please continue to check the Putnam County Department of Health Flu Vaccine Hotline at 278-6130 for further updates.
