Putnam Valley Woman Charged With Driving While Under the Influence of Drugs

Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Putnam Valley woman for driving while impaired by drugs.

According to the Sheriff, Deputy Sheriff Thomas Des Jardins was on patrol in the Town of Putnam Valley on February 8, 2008 at 10:24pm when he was dispatched to a report of a property damage auto accident involving one car on Oscawana Lake Road. Upon arrival, the deputy determined that the driver, Patricia Greenwich, 45, of Putnam Valley, had been driving while under the influence of a prescription medication. The deputy placed Ms. Muldoon under arrest and charged her with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a misdemeanor. The defendant was processed at Putnam Hospital Center and released in her own recognizance pending a future appearance in the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to one year in jail and fines of up to $1,000.00.
