Audubon Society Hosts Eagle Programs This Weekend at Constitution Marsh

The Audubon Society would like to invite area residents to join them this weekend for eagle watching programs at their Constitution Marsh center. On Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24 at 10am, staff naturalists will begin the day with a short indoor program that may include dressing up one lucky youngster as an eagle, in order to show in a fun and humorous way how eagles survive. Pointers will be given on how to identify both adult and juvenile eagles, and then the assembled group will walk out towards the river, searching for eagles perching atop trees, sitting on the ice, and flying by. The program will end at noon, and visitors are free to explore on their own. Binoculars are available, and several telescopes will be used for closer viewing.

Because parking is limited, it's a good idea to call 265-2601, ext. 11 or 12, for reservations. If the weather is poor, call ahead to see if the program is cancelled.
