Great Decisions Discussion Series Begins at the Desmond-Fish Library
The Great Decisions discussion series is the centerpiece of the longest-running foreign affairs discussion program in the United States, sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association. Each year, thousands of Americans take part in Great Decisions discussion groups to increase their awareness and understanding of, and to express their opinions on, eight of the most thought-provoking US foreign policy concerns. Please join in at the Desmond-Fish Library in Garrison. Great Decisions briefing books are available at the circulation desk. You may either buy a book to keep, or check out a book to be returned later. This series of Great Decisions discussions is sponsored by the Friends of the Desmond-Fish Library.
The topic of the first discussion, on Tuesday, March 4 at 3pm, will be "Iraq: Strategies for Dealing with Uncertainty". The discussion will be facilitated by Hans Moeller. The article in the "Great Discussions" briefing book goes behind the headlines, with clear maps and charts of information about the Middle East. Learn more about this important topic, and discuss it with your neighbors.
