Staged Reading of Alms For the Middle Class co- Presented by Arts on the Lake and Blue Horse Rep

Arts on the Lake and The Blue Horse Repertory Company present a staged reading of Stuart Hample's play Alms For The Middle Class on Saturday, March 8 at 8pm.

Alms For The Middle Class is the story of a father's relationship with his estranged son - a story much told on the stage - from Hamlet to Death Of A Salesman. But never so wickedly funny, combined with wrenching moments, in which people in a disintegrating family hurt loved ones. The father, son and mother all seek their identities, but are unable to share affection in this real life comedy of errors. "Grabs the audience and holds it...like Arthur Miller adapted by Neil Simon." - Rochester Times- Union.

The production is directed by Peggity Price* and stars Adam Amram, Lora Lee Ecobelli*, Amanda Jones, Andrew Katz, Brian Keeler* and James Shearwood* (all those noted with an asterisk appear courtesy of AEA staged reading guidelines).

ARTS ON THE LAKE is located at the Lake Carmel Cultural Center (former firehouse), 640 Route 52, Kent Lakes. Admission is $6, $5 for members. For reservations call: 845 228-AOTL or email rsvp@artsonthelake.org.
