Gordon Robertson Announces His Candidacy for the Position of Cold Spring Village Trustee This is his Statement:
"Dear Fellow Residents:
"At this time I would like to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for Village Trustee on Election Day, March 18th 2008. In the tradition of non-political party association in village government, I will be campaigning under the masthead of the newly-created "Bull Hill Party" which refers to our majestic Mt. Taurus commonly known to locals as "Bull Hill."
"A 40-year resident of the Village of Cold Spring, I currently reside at 220 Main Street with my wife Suzanne (of 19 years) and daughter Katelyn, who currently attends Haldane Central School. My years of living in this wonderful village have provided a perspective of what Cold Spring has been and a sense of what it has become. But I also understand that we have many meaningful challenges in the near future that will require continued strong leadership from our local government.
"It's my belief that my formal business background (which I will share with you in following pages) will be a great asset to our village government and allow a fresh perspective while remaining open to all voices.
"You will find me fiscally conservative and socially liberal when dealing with local issues. I am pro Business and environmentally concerned. I will provide my own perspective on all issues and work towards unity within our village...
"Personally I would like to take a moment to thank all our Officials and current Trustees for their hard work over that last few years. We live in a community of Friends & Neighbors and politics should never overshadow what our village is about.
