Eco-Shabbaton at Temple Beth-El and Vassar TempleAddresses Interfaith Environmental Issues

The first ever Temple Beth- El and Vassar Temple joint Eco- Shabbaton featuring Rabbi Larry Troster, internationallyknown authority on Jewish and interfaith perspectives on ecological and environmental issues.

Rabbi Troster will speak at Vassar Temple at 140 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, on Friday evening March 7 at 7:30pm during a combined Vassar Temple and Temple Beth-El Shabbat evening service, with an Oneg Shabbat afterwards. The Shabbaton continues at Temple Beth El on Saturday morning March 8 with services beginning at 9:30am. Rabbi Troster will speak at approximately 11am, with a lunch and study session following services. Reservations for the luncheon are strongly recommended. The Eco Shabbaton is being underwritten by the Sherman Fund of Temple Beth- El and the Vassar Temple Groten Fund.
