Wanted Lake Peekskill Man Turns Self In

Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a man from the Lake Peekskill section of the Town of Putnam Valley when he surrendered to a Deputy Sheriff after learning he was the subject of a Bench Warrant from the Town of Carmel Justice Court on the charge of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor.

On February 12, 2008 at 1:02pm., Tommy Raguso, Jr., 33, of 2 William Street, Lake Peekskill, appeared in the lobby of the Putnam County Sheriff's Department to turn himself in. Deputy Sheriff Paul Piazza placed Mr. Raguso under arrest. The defendant was arraigned before Carmel Town Justice Thomas Jacobellis and released in his own recognizance pending a February 26, 2008 appearance in the Town of Carmel Justice Court. If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to one year in jail and fines of up to $1,000.
