The Big Easy Comes to Cold Spring: Snow Ball 2008

It's Mardi Gras season at The Dutchess Manor! Join the Haldane School Foundation in celebrating the renaissance of New Orleans while raising funds for the children of the Haldane Central School District.

Arrive at seven o'clock on March 8 and witness the transformation of The Dutchess Manor ballroom into the streets of New Orleans' French Quarter, replete with Mardi Gras throw beads, sparkling masks and glittering doubloons. Dance to the sounds of The New York Players, pledge to sponsor a portion of the renovation of the Fitness and Weight Training Center. Sip on a hurricane as you bid on an exciting selection of Silent Auction items including a week in Mexico, a catered barbeque for twelve, a hot air balloon ride, a Bloomingdale's gift basket, a family portrait session, original artwork, and one-of-a-kind jewelry. Local residents and businesses have generously donated over 80 items for this silent auction extravaganza!

Enjoy the company of your friends, experience the uniquely exciting atmosphere of New Orleans, sample traditional Mardi Gras King Cake - all while supporting innovative programs for the children of Haldane!

When you're in New Orleans you can't help but feel festive: The food is fabulous, the colors are brilliant, the music is swingin' and the spirit of Mardi Gras extends throughout the evening. For tickets to this exciting night in The Big Easy, please call Lynn Felter at 265- 2976. Tickets are $150 per person and include a delicious four-course meal. Choose between vegetable risotto with white truffle oil, salmon darnes, prime angus club steak and chicken chassure, but save enough room for Louisiana's traditional Bananas Foster!
