Common Senses Dictates Presently-Serving Trustees Continue Serving
To the Editor:

On the coming election for two Cold Spring Village trustees, these words by the English poet, Francis Quarles (1592- 1644), come to mind:

"Judge not the play before the play is done:/Her plot hath many changes; every day/ Speaks a new scene; the last act crowns the play."

We need the presently-serving Village trustees to continue serving until "the last act crowns the play," That's not the divine right of kings; that's just common sense.

Last week's PCN&R headline for Trustee John Teagle's letter says it best: "Let the Fresh, Active Voices Continue as Trustees." Those voices belong to Karen Dunn and Seth Gallagher. Their accomplishments to date indicate that they have the capacity to think independently, to compromise when necessary, to respect one another and the other trustees, and to summon up the patience and skills to deal with the many intricate issues now before the Village Board.

I urge the re-election of Trustees Dunn and Gallagher on March 18.
