Support Connection Announces Location of Annual Gala

Support Connection has announced their 11th Annual Gala and Silent Auction will take place on Friday, April 4, 2008, in the Ballroom at the Holiday Inn, Fishkill.

The Gala is held each year to offer recognition to individuals, organizations and businesses who have given outstanding support to Support Connection, and to pay tribute to people who have provided inspiration to others. The 2008 honorees are: Beacon of Light Award: Savo Fries, Somers; Humanitarian of the Year: Barry Levin, Yorktown ; Spirit of Giving Award: Micki Liebman, Yorktown; Spirit of Hope Awards: Chun Kim-Levin, Mahopac Falls; Judith Leger, Mohegan Lake; and Gwen Harding-Peets, Staatsburg, NY.

Katherine Quinn, Executive Director of Support Connection says "We want to thank Alan and Leon Drogy of Colonial Terrace for their commitment to Support Connection and our mission. Following the recent fire at their facility, they partnered with the Holiday Inn, Fishkill to insure that our Gala is a memorable and meaningful event. We extend our best wishes to the Drogy family as they rebuild, and look forward to returning to Colonial Terrace in the future."

As always, guests will enjoy a festive evening beginning at 7pm with a cocktail reception and hors d'oeurves, followed at 8pm by dinner and dancing to live music. There will be an open bar, and a silent auction and raffle with many valuable gifts and prizes. In addition, the Holiday Inn will offer overnight accommodations to Support Connection guests at a reduced rate. Call the hotel at 845-896-6281 by April 1.

Reservations are required to attend the Gala. Tickets are $125 per person. Free roundtrip coach bus service from the Yorktown area will be available by reservation. For tickets and bus reservations, call Support Connection at 914- 962-9602. For more information visit www.supportconnection.org.
