City Historians of Beacon and Newburgh in Free Talk Sponsored by Sloop Club
Club also hosts a 'Something to Say Cafe' Kids' Coffeehouse

On Friday, March 14, 7:30pm, Beacon City Historian Bob Murphy & Newburgh City Historian Mary McTamaney will present a program on Newburgh Bay & the waterfronts on both sides of the river. The program begins at 7:30 at the Beacon Sloop Club, located on the Hudson River, adjacent to the Beacon Ferry Dock & train station. This program is part of series of free public lectures presented by the Beacon Sloop Club's Environmental Committee & the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater. Info: www.beaconsloopclub.org

On Saturday, March 15, 7:30pm, the Beacon Sloop Club will host the "Something to Say Cafe", a Kids' Coffehouse & Open Mike run by and for young performers. The cafe was created by High School sudents Jake Bernz and Walker Rumpf, with assistance from the Randolph School, Hudson River Sloop Clearwater & the Beacon Sloop Club. The cafe is free & refreshments are available to help benefit the Randolph School. The Beacon Sloop Club is located on the river adjacent to the Beacon Ferry Dock & train station.
