April Safety and Preparedness Classes in Hudson Valley Offered by Red Cross
April safety and preparedness classes offered by the American Red Cross in Greater New York (ARC/GNY) will be held at the organization's Hudson Valley offices in Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan and West Point. - Monday, April 7, CPR/AED (automated external defibrillator) - Adult, 9am-2pm. Cost $65 online registration; $75 phone registration.
- Monday, April 7, standard first aid, 2:30- 6:30pm. Cost $60 online registration; $70 phone registration. * Thursday, April 17, first aid for cats and dogs, 10am- 2pm. Cost $70 online registration; $80 phone registration. * Tuesday, April 22, babysitter's training, 9am- 4:30pm. Cost $60 online registration; $70 phone registration.

The American Red Cross in Greater New York is a key humanitarian partner and a vital participant in New York's plans and programs to help the nine million people in New York City and Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Sullivan counties prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. ARC/ GNY provides immediate aid to more than 100,000 people affected by 3,000 emergencies a year, including fires, floods, building collapses and power outages. The chapter also helps New York residents and businesses prepare for emergencies by offering hundreds of courses in first aid, CPR and aquatics and free emergency preparedness training programs and resources.
