Supermarket Tour at Hannafords Highlight of Putnam Hospital Center's Diabetes Support Group
The next meeting of Putnam Hospital Center's free Diabetes Support & Education Group will be held on Tuesday, April 7, at special times of 3 pm and 6pm at Hannafords in the Putnam Plaza on Route 6 in Carmel.
Attendees will meet with registered dietitian Allison Stowell at Hannafords' Customer Service Desk and tour the supermarket to learn how to select healthy foods. Emphasis will be on label reading and food budget.
Family and friends are welcome to attend meetings of the free Diabetes Support & Education Group, which is designed to teach individuals how to keep their diabetes under control and to live a healthier life. The meetings provide participants with an opportunity to hear from knowledgeable professionals and to network with others who have diabetes.
