Gelsomina Ricci

Gelsomina Ricci, age 100, of Cold Spring, died on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Treetops Rehabilitation and Care Center in Mohegan Lake, NY.

Born in New York, NY on March 1, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maryana (Caputo) Occhini.

Mrs. Ricci was a Seamstress, having retired from Nanflower in Peekskill. She was also a parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring.

Her husband, Vincent Ricci, predeceased her in 1965. She is survived by four sons, Carmine Ricci of Cold Spring, Frank Ricci of Peekskill, NY, Salvatore Ricci of Port St. Lucy, FL, and Edward Ricci of Zephyrhills, FL. Twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren also survive her. One son, Vincent Ricci and two grandchildren predeceased her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Wednesday, March 19, at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair St., Cold Spring, followed by interment in Assumption Cemetery in Peekskill. Friends called at the Clinton Funeral Home, Cor. of Parrott and Pine Sts. (21 Parrott St.) Cold Spring, on Tuesday, March 18.
