State University of New York at New Paltz Announces Fall 2007 Dean's List

The following residents were named to the Dean's list at the State University of New York at New Paltz for the fall 2007 semester:

- Arthur Cecchini, a resident of Garrison. Cecchini is a Junior majoring in Electrical Engineering.

- John Werner, a resident of Putnam Valley. Werner is a Junior majoring in Electrical Engineering.

- James Clinton, a resident of Cold Spring. Clinton is a Senior majoring in Computer Science.

- Jessica Ritacco, a resident of Garrison. Ritacco is a Senior majoring in Theatre Arts.

- Stefanie Whiston, a resident of Cold Spring. Whiston is a Sophomore majoring in Adol Ed: Math.

- Rachel Ritacco, a resident of Garrison. Ritacco is a Freshman majoring in Theatre Arts.

- Kate Brady, a resident of Putnam Valley. Brady is a Freshman majoring in Undeclared Education.

Dean's list designation is preserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a full-time course load. The State University of New York at New Paltz was named "Hottest Small State School" in the 2008 Kaplan/ Newsweek How To Get Into College Guide, which identifies America's 25 Hottest Schools. The guide features schools that all offer top academic programs and are making their mark in the competitive world of higher education.

New Paltz is a highly selective college of about 7,800 undergraduate and graduate students located in the Mid- Hudson Valley between New York City and Albany. Degrees are offered in the liberal arts and sciences, which serve as a core for professional programs in the fine and performing arts, education, healthcare, business and engineering.
