Haldane Participates in All- County Music Festival

Fifteen Haldane Elementary and Middle School musicians participated in the 2008 All-County Music Festival on March 8 at the George Fischer Middle School. The All-County Chorus was conducted by Michael Richmond and accompanied by Gail Richmond. They sang Non Nobis, Domine by William Byrd, Popular from Wicked by Stephen Swartz, Amani Utupe by Patsy Ford Simms and The Circle of Life by Elton John and Tim Rice. Haldane All-County Chorus members included sopranos Danielle Ferris, Isabel Jimenez-Wisler, Tyler Mell, Cali Schweikhart and Kieran Spinelli. The alto choral members were Maya Curto, Alison Duncan, Mackenzie Fariel, Brigit O'Malley and Sarah Warren.

The All-County Band was conducted by Phillip Beierle. They performed Between Wind and Water-A Shantyman's Tale arranged by Michael Story, Bunker Hill March by John Edmondson, The Tenth Planet by Michael Story and Ancient Dances by Bruce Pearson. Haldane All- County Band members included clarinets Steven Casement and Elizabeth O'Malley, and trumpet players Kieran Austin, Ken Doxey and Marcus Zimmerman.

Congratulations to all of the talented musicians, their supportive parents, and their music teachers, Band Director Debbie Contini and Choral Director Meredith Nocton.
