Putnam Hospital Center to Offer One-Day Prepared Childbirth Class
The Birthing Center at Putnam Hospital Center has scheduled its next one-day prepared childbirth class for Saturday, May 3, from 9am to 5pm, at the hospital at 670 Stoneleigh Avenue in Carmel.
The class, which is recommended for expectant mothers in the last trimester of their pregnancy, is designed to cover all aspects of labor and delivery, including the Lamaze method and cesarean section information. Concentration on conditioning exercises and relaxation methods is provided; films supplement individual and group instruction.
Registration is required for the class which has a fee of $175 per couple with a $25 registration deposit. Class sizes are limited and fill quickly. Couples should make reservations for the class in their sixth month.
