Mental Health America of Dutchess County Presents Evening on Special Education

Mental Health America of Dutchess County (formerly Mental Health Assocation of Dutchess County) is pleased to present two workshops on April 10, 2008, "Ask the Advocates "from 6-7:30pm and "Special Education Evaluations "from 7:30-9:30pm, at the Mental Health America office, 253 Mansion Street, Poughkeepsie.

These workshops are for parents and families of children with special needs. (birth-21 years) and professionals working with children who have special needs.

The presenters for the workshops, are: Barbara J. Ebenstein, Attorney, Special Education Law; Joy Drummond, LMSW, MAT, parent of a child with special needs and Parent Training Coordinator, Putnam Independent Living Services; and Joseph Beckles, Education Advocate, Mental Health America of Dutchess County. Funded in part by Dutchess County Government

This workshop is co-sponsored by Mental Health America of Dutchess County and Putnam Independent Living Services Parent Training Program (this program is funded by The Advocacy Center's Parent Training and Information grant). The Youth Intervention Program is funded by the NYS OCFS and the Dutchess County Youth Bureau.
