Nat Prentice Steps Up as President of the Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce
As of April 1, the leadership of the Board of Directors of the Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce will be assumed by Nat Prentice who was appointed by the board earlier in the year. Cathryn Fadde, who has been President for over three years, will remain on the Board as Treasurer.
Prentice has been a member of the Board of Directors for the past several years, serving most recently as Treasurer and as a member of the Philip Baumgarten Memorial Scholarship committee. A native of Garrison, Prentice returned to his hometown in 1999 and has been an advocate for Philipstown in many ways including co-authoring Philipstown's Comprehensive Plan.
In addition to his volunteer service for the Chamber of Commerce, he has also been on the Western Putnam Economic Development Committee and is on the Advisory Board of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. He has coached lacrosse at the Philipstown Recreation Department and has performed in many Philipstown Depot Theatre productions.
He helps to keep Philipstown looking beautiful by participating in Putnam County's "Adopt a Highway" program and routinely cleans up the stretch of 9D between Garrison and Cold Spring. Professionally, Prentice has a career in finance and banking.
