Katie Robertson Honored with 'Most Dedicated & Improved' Award at Ski Racing Awards Dinner

The Tri - State Alpine Ski Racing Association and local racer Katelyn Robertson marked the close of another successful season with the Awards Dinner held at Jiminy Peak Mt. Resort on March 2, 2008 . At this years awards dinner Katie was honored by Coach Gary Coyne as this years most dedicated & improved Tri - State racer on Jiminy Peaks Racing Team. Earlier in the day Katie placed 3rd in the final Giant Slalom race of the season hosted at Blandford Ski Resort. Competition was steep, with over 190 final racers from NY, MA, VT, & CT representing racing teams from Butternut, Catamount, Blandford, Jiminy Peak & Bousquet.

Even with trophy in hand Katie, who is also a student at Haldane Central School in Cold Spring, welcomed the close to a very long but successful skiing season. However, she also remained ecstatic about the possibility of participating at this Summer's 2008 Alpine Ski Racing/Training Camp on Mt. Hood, Oregon during her summer recess in mid- July.

Katie also wished to thank her teammates and coaches Gary Coyne & Johanna "Jo" Howland for a wonderful season. Go Team Jiminy! 2009
