HV Gateway Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Workshop Advises 'How to Shamelessly Promote Your Business'
Economists may debate whether the country is in a recession, but businesses in the Hudson Valley know that it's getting harder to make a sale. The solution? Try harder. Learn what you can do by attending a free breakfast workshop, "How to Shamelessly Promote Your Business", at the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce, One South Division Street, Peekskill, on Thursday, April 17 from 8:30 to10:30am. The workshop will be conducted by marketing expert Jerry Rosenstrach, who has helped organizations from Merrill Lynch to the Visiting Nurse Association of America, plan and execute successful marketing strategies.
"Here's your chance to attend marketing 'spring training,'" explains Mr. Rosenstrach, who advises forprofit and not-for-profit organizations and volunteers as a SCORE counselor. "Our goal is to help you get back to basics so you do it right." Ron Forehand, President and CEO of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce, notes that a tough economic climate demands savvy sales and marketing. "It's tempting to drastically reduce your sales and marketing expenditures because you're concerned about cash flow, but what you really have to do is eliminate wasteful spending and make every penny count by selling 'smarter.' I think everyone who attends this workshop will come out with several strong ideas about how to improve what they've been doing."The workshop is open to Chamber members and their guests. Advance registration is required. To register or to get more information, please visit the Chamber's Web site at www.hvgatewaychamber.com or call 914-737-3600.
