Hudson Valley Hospital Center's 31st Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament to Raise Monies for Building on Excellence Campaign
Hudson Valley Hospital Center's 31st Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Hudson National Golf Club located in Croton-on-Hudson. All proceeds from the upcoming tournament will go toward HVHC's Building on Excellence Campaign to benefit the continual growth of the Hospital. To date, the Campaign has raised over $12 million dollars for the $100 million hospital expansion project, which kicked off in the summer of 2007.
Lead donors, Hospital Board Members and employees have had the opportunity to participate in the Building On Excellence campaign over the past several months. Now the Hospital seeks support from its medical staff and the general public, including individuals, businesses and foundations.
The fundraiser is being sponsored by some of the top Westchester and surrounding New York businesses, including Curry Automotive as the Presenting Sponsor. Established in 1919, Curry Automotive is one of the most longstanding automotive dealership groups in Westchester County. As a first time Presenting Sponsor, Bernard F. Curry, III of Curry Automotive shared his feelings on being such an integral part of this traditionally successful event. "This is a great opportunity to play on a world class golf course and raise funds for the Hospital's expansion program at the same time," said Mr.Curry. "We are extremely proud and honored to play a major role in the financial success of the event." Additional sponsors include Entergy Nuclear, Barr & Barr Builders, Inc., Relph Benefit Advisors, Quammen Group, JGN Construction Corp., Elser & Aucone, Inc., Frank & Lindy Plumbing and Heating, Inc. and D. Bertoline & Sons.
The money raised will directly benefit the HVHC expansion project which will include a four-story Patient Tower featuring all private rooms, an expanded Emergency Room that will nearly double current capacity, the creation of a new Comprehensive Cancer Care Center and two additional new state-of-the-art Operating Rooms. Along with these additions will also be an expanded Critical Care area with four new Progressive Care Unit rooms, an expanded Rehabilitation suite (physical, pulmonary and cardiac therapy) and for patient and employee convenience, a 400 space parking facility that will remain free.
