Putnam County to Hold County-wide Assessment Information Session

Putnam County Executive Bob Bondi today announced that Putnam County will be holding an informational meeting regarding the county-wide assessment study on April 10, 2008 at 11am, in the Emergency Operations Building.

All Town Supervisors and Board members are urged to attend as well as any member of the public or representatives from groups that deal with assessment services in Putnam County.

The goal of the information session is to explain how the grant works and the concept, status, and next steps in the process of this feasibility study. Speaking at the event will be John Wolham, Regional Director for the Southern Region of the New York State Office of Real Property Tax Services; John Tully, Putnam County Deputy County Executive; Valeria Coggin, Director of Tompkins County Department of Assessment; and George Michaud, Putnam County Director of Real Property Tax. A question and answer session will follow the presentations so that any person with questions related to the study can be heard.

For further information, please contact John Tully at 845-225-2212.
