Westchester Man Charged With Unlicensed Driving
Deputy Sheriff Jason Quick was on patrol at the intersection of Secor Road and Wood Street on March 12, 2008 in the Town of Putnam Valley on March 12, 2009 at 12:30am when he stopped a motorist for a moving violation. Upon investigation, the deputy determined that the driver, Harry N. Cruz, 24, of 31 Main Street, Tarrytown had been driving with a suspended license. The deputy arrested Mr. Cruz and charged him with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and released on $250.00 bail pending an April 8, 2008 date in the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court to answer the charge.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $1000.
