Athletes For a Cure Holds Informational Meeting for Team in Training
The Westchester/Hudson Valley Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be holding a free informational meeting on Thur., May 15 at 6:30pm at the Katonah Library, Mon., May 19 at 6:30pm and on Thur., June 12 at 6pm at the Parker Corporate Building, Wed., May 28 at 6:30pm at the Bronxville Library and on Thur., June 5 at 6:30pm at the Tarrytown Warner Library to explain its Team In Training program, which is recruiting both novice and veteran athletes for their spring events.
These include the Hudson River Swim For Life (Sleepy Hollow), GSW Tri-State Seacoast Ride (Hampton Beach, NH), Jarden Westchester Triathlon (Rye), Westchester Marathon (White Plains), Nike Women's Marathon (San Francisco, CA), Marine Corps Marathon (Washington, DC), and UMC El Tour de Tucson (Tucson, AZ). In return for raising funds to find a cure for blood cancers, participants will receive expert coaching and be sent to the destination of choice.
