Parents and Tots Perk Up Their Park for Spring
Volunteers of all ages pitched in at the Cold Spring Tiny Tots Park's annual spring clean-up.

Parents and children alike turned out over the weekend to give the Cold Spring Tiny Tots Park a spring spruce-up. The Tiny Tots Park at McConville Park, a playground for children aged 5 and under, is a beloved gathering place for local youngsters and families. Within the park's fenced area, young children can play safely together in a fun outdoor environment.

Volunteers at the Spring Clean-Up Day raked, weeded, and refreshed the playground's protective ground covering in anticipation of the busy summer season. Plans have also begun to replace the park's current play equipment, installed in 1991, with new, safety-compliant play structures. "The Tots Park is a special place for so many families," said Cold Spring parent Beth Edelson. "It's wonderful to have so many parents, grandparents, and little ones here to help. And many people who contributed their time this morning also pledged a financial contribution towards the purchase of new play equipment. Thanks to everyone for their support!"

The Friends of the Tots Park is a group of interested parents and volunteers who support the Cold Spring Tiny Tots Park and its continuing maintenance. For more information, contact Eugenie Milroy at eugeniemilroy@yahoo.com
