How to Choose the Best College for Your Student and Your Pocketbook: Seminar at East Fishkill Library
East Fishkill Community Library will host two sessions designed to help parents of college-bound students on Saturday April 26, at 10:30am and 1pm. Please join them when Kathy Holfelder presents this free educational program on "How to Choose the Best College For Your Student and Your Pocketbook." This program will teach parents (and students) how to navigate through the current complex world of planning for a college education. In this class parents will learn how to help students know which college to apply to and how to increase the chances of getting your student into their dream college. The top 5 questions that you need to get answered before you apply to a college will be covered. Additionally, how to position your student to get scholarships from their choice colleges as well as how to position your finances to receive merit aid and how to get a "tax scholarship" will also be discussed. Class attendees will leave having a better idea on how to balance the cost of education vs. the value of the degree earned.
To make reservations for either the 10:30am or the 1pm class, please call 845-221-9943 or sign up online at www.eastfishkilllibrary.org. The library is located at 348 Route 376 in Hopewell Junction.
