B.A.R.T.: Becoming a Responsible Teen Program at Hudson River HealthCare
Program strives to teach teens how to handle social and sexual pressures
Hudson River HealthCare is pleased to introduce its spring program for teens - B.A.R.T. - Becoming A Responsible Teen. B.A.R.T. is open to all youth, 13 to 18 years of age, and will be held for eight Tuesdays, May 6 to June 24, 2008. This program is free and will be held at Hudson River HealthCare, 1037 Main Street, 2nd Floor Conference Room, in Peekskill.
The B.A.R.T. program will strive to teach youth how to avoid becoming infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, help them clarify their own values about sexual activity, develop their refusal and negotiation skills and put them into action, and help them deal with social and sexual pressures. B.A.R.T. youth will be paid a stipend for participation, but space is limited to just 15 youth.
