Putnam County Retired Teachers Association Holds Spring Meeting and Luncheon
The Putnam County Retired Teachers Association is having its Spring Meeting and Luncheon on Thursday, May 8 at Sentrista Restaurant at the Clock Tower Commons on Route 22 in Brewster. The business meeting starts at 11:30am with the luncheon to follow. After the luncheon the speaker will be Tony Haruch, a retired Mahopac Art teacher, who is the author and illustrator of an Aboriginal children's book Kurtal. Winner of the National Art Educator Award, Tony will talk about and display some of his beautiful collection of Aboriginal art.
The luncheon is a time for Putnam County retired teachers and administrators to socialize with other retirees and to keep informed on retiree legislation and events. An upcoming all day trip to Constitution Island with lunch at the Hotel Thayer is planned for June 18. They invite Putnam County retired teachers, administrators, and their spouses to join the Putnam County Retired Teachers Association.
