Community Health Education Day in Peekskill at Hudson River HealthCare

On Wednesday, May 7, 2008, the Lower Hudson Valley Perinatal Network will present the 2nd Annual Community Health Education Day (CHED). This free event will be held at Peekskill High School, in the Library, from 2:30 until 4:30pm. The theme of this year's program, entitled "It Takes A village … To Address the Risk - Give Babies A Healthy Start," will be sexually transmitted infections/diseases from a preconception health perspective.

Hudson River HealthCare will use this event to kick off National Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Day, through video presentations, an interactive computer/paper quiz and distribution of educational materials focusing on STIs/STDs. For more information about this FREE program, call Chantell Peeples, Director of Youth Services, Hudson River HealthCare, at 914-734-8524.
