Parent Support Group for Children with Special Needs Meets in Cold Spring
A support group for parents for children with special needs will have its next meeting in Cold Spring on Sunday, May 3 from 3-5:30pm. Hosting and moderating the group, at her studio at the Carriage House at 8 Marion Avenue in Cold Spring, will be Dr. Suzi Tortora, Ed.D. It is being held on the weekend to support both parents to attend together if possible.
After working with families and children with special needs for over twenty years, Dr. Tortora offered to start the group, the only one of its kind in Cold Spring, after several parents requested a forum in which to share their experiences and challenges, and to get help and information. Dr. Tortora will also invite guest speakers to address specific topics facing our children with special needs. There is no fee to attend and all are welcome; donations only.
