Area Youth Win Honors in Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition

Winners from the 7/8 and 9/10 year old competitions
On Sunday, April 26, 35 participants competed in the Pitch, Hit & Run Competition hosted by Philipstown Recreation Department and assisted by Philipstown Little League. The following participants won first place honors in their respective age groups:

Age 7/8: Overall Champion - Joseph Tock, Hitting Champion - Henry Driscoll, Pitching Champions - Joseph Tock, Josh Wimer, & Nicholas DiPalo, Running Champion - Nicholas DiPalo.

Age 9/10: Overall Champion - David Rotando, Hitting Champion - Danny Owens, Pitching Champions - David Rotando, & Running Champion - Eric Rizzi.

Age 11/12: Overall Champion - Matt Forlow, Hitting Champion - Cameron Young, Pitching Champions - Matt Forlow, Running Champion - Matt Forlow.

Age 13/14: Overall Champion - Ryan Koval, Hitting Champion - Ryan Koval, Pitching Champions - Ryan Koval, Daniel Kinnard, & Joe Marigliano, Running Champion - Ryan Koval.

The winners will now compete in the Sectional competition, to be held June 7 in Middletown. Congratulations to all those who participated in the event and thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the day a success.

Pitch, Hit, & Run is a baseball skill competition that allows youngsters to showcase their talents in pitching, hitting and running with scores determined by individual performances in each skills event.
