Youth Gaming Club at Howland Library
Come out of your room and show us what you got! Get together with friends and peers at Howland Public Library at 313 Main St. in Beacon and enjoy video games and refreshments. Kids between the ages of 10-17 are invited to join the Howland Public Library's Gaming Club on Friday, May 16 from 3-5 pm.
Kids can test their gaming skills while having fun playing various games, including Guitar Hero, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, and Bowling on the Wii and Playstation 2.
Howland Public Library is the recipient of a New York State Library mini-grant provided through Mid-Hudson Library System that will enable the library to purchase more gaming equipment and games for the Club.
The Gaming Club will meet every 3rd Friday of the month from 3-5pm. As the library did earlier this year, the Club will hold tournaments for prizes two or three times per year. Feel free to call Ginny Figlia, Youth Services Librarian, at 831-1134, ex.103 if you have any questions. We ask players to please bring their own controller if they have one, and games from home are welcome.
