Francis Joseph Fadden

Francis Joseph Fadden, age 82, of Manchester, NJ died Friday, May 2, at Community Medical Center, Toms River.

He was employed for 33 years as a Manpower Analyst for the Navy Department in both Brooklyn and Manhattan, NY before retiring in 1973. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a communicant of St John's R.C. Church Lakehurst, NJ. He was a Life Member and Past Post Adjutant of the VFW and American Legion Posts on Mystic Island.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he lived there and in Norfolk, VA, and in Tuckerton and Egg Harbor, NJ before moving to Manchester in 1998. He is predeceased by two wives, first by Frances Lucy Farah Fadden who died in 1970, and then by Mary Vedder Fadden who died in 2002.

Surviving are two sons, Christopher of Cold Spring, and Kenneth of Newburgh; one sister, Alice Stevens of Bergenfield, NJ; seven grandchildren, Kaylyn, Kenneth, Peter, Joseph, Phyllis, Scott and Kellie; and six great-grandchildren, John, Nick, Dillon, Allison, Troy and Isabella. Interment was May 7 at the Brigadier Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Fadden's name may be made to the Knights of Columbus and Philipstown Little League.
